Best Murcia Wedding Venues: Where to Get Married in Murcia
Five distinctive venues across the Murcia region, from the Mar Menor shore to heritage palm estates, with the practical details couples from abroad need.

The best Murcia wedding venues for most couples are La Manga Club for an all-in-one resort, Balneario de Archena for a spa estate with its own hotels, Parque de la Marquesa for palms and a 19th-century manor, Collados Beach for a ceremony on the Mar Menor, and Hotel Jardines de Amaltea near Lorca for water gardens. All five sit 20 to 50 minutes from Murcia’s airport.
Murcia feels both undiscovered and personal. Between the calm turquoise water of the Mar Menor, the hillsides of the Ricote Valley and old estates full of palm trees, it rewards couples who look just beyond the obvious. The late-afternoon light here turns everything gold, and as a wedding filmmaker based in Murcia, I have seen how that light changes even simple moments. You can see my work on my wedding videographer in Spain home page.
This guide picks five venues, one for each kind of setting the region does best: resort, spa, palm estate, lagoon beach and water garden. If you want a longer ranked list with capacity and style at a glance, read my top 10 Murcia wedding venues.
1. Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa
Capacity: approx. 50–400 guests · Price range: €€€ · Nearest airport: Corvera, 30 min
On site: ceremony, reception, catering, accommodation, gardens, pool, parking

Set between the Costa Cálida coast and the hills of the Sierra Minera, near the southern end of the Mar Menor, La Manga Club is one of the best-known luxury resorts in southeast Spain. Now operated under the Grand Hyatt brand, it combines five-star hotel facilities with wide outdoor spaces. The resort offers several indoor and outdoor event spaces, from a 400 m² Grand Ballroom to ceremony set-ups on the south golf course at sunset.
With 192 rooms and suites on site, your guests never need to leave, and neither do you. For destination weddings that need to impress from the moment guests arrive, this is Murcia’s most complete all-in-one venue. The resort’s wedding team handles logistics across the board, so you can enjoy the day.
2. Balneario de Archena
Capacity: approx. 80–380 guests · Price range: €€ · Nearest airport: Corvera, 35 min
On site: ceremony, reception, catering, accommodation, gardens, chapel, parking

In the Ricote Valley, 24 kilometres from Murcia city, this thermal spa resort with more than 200,000 square metres of grounds has hosted celebrations for generations. The Balneario de Archena sits beside the Segura River, surrounded by tall palms, fruit orchards and thermal pools, an atmosphere unlike any other venue in the region.
Civil ceremonies take place in the open-air gardens by the river, and the venue’s own chapel hosts religious ceremonies. Three on-site hotels (two 4-star, one 3-star) with 253 rooms mean guests sleep a short walk from where they celebrated. Capacity ranges from 80 to 380 guests, so it works for intimate gatherings and large weddings alike.
3. Parque de la Marquesa
Capacity: approx. 100–300 guests · Price range: €€€ · Nearest airport: Corvera, 40 min
On site: ceremony, reception, catering, gardens, parking

Thirty kilometres from Murcia city, in the quiet municipality of Ulea, one of the most striking estates in the region waits behind its gates. Parque de la Marquesa is a 60-hectare property centred on a 19th-century manor house, surrounded by more than 2,000 palm trees and well-kept gardens. The main hall, fully glazed and 352 m², seats up to 300 guests for dinner, while cocktail receptions can extend to 500 on the surrounding grounds.
I have filmed here on several occasions. Golden-hour light through the palms against 19th-century stone gives footage that needs very little grading. The glazed hall also keeps natural light on faces during dinner, which is rare in a banquet space.
4. Collados Beach
Capacity: approx. 100–300 guests · Price range: €€€ · Nearest airport: Corvera, 20 min
On site: ceremony, reception, catering, gardens, pool, parking

On the shore of the Mar Menor, Europe’s largest saltwater lagoon, Collados Beach offers something rare among Spanish wedding venues: clean, minimalist architecture with a natural backdrop that needs no decoration. The venue sits next to the Encañizada natural area, where calm turquoise water stretches to the horizon.
Ceremonies take place on the beach, then continue in a glazed banquet space with two large terraces. With room for 300 or more guests, a VIP area, pool access and an event planning team included, it suits couples who want a reception built around the sunset. Murcia’s Corvera airport is about 20 minutes away.
5. Hotel Jardines de Amaltea
Capacity: approx. 100–600 guests · Price range: €€ · Nearest airport: Corvera, 50 min
On site: ceremony, reception, catering, accommodation, gardens, parking

For couples who want romance with plenty of space, Hotel Jardines de Amaltea near Lorca has 12,000 square metres of gardens designed around ornamental lakes, streams and waterfalls. It is unlike anything else in the region: a lush, almost tropical landscape in the Murcia countryside, with the sound of water throughout the day. From a sound point of view, I plan microphone placement carefully here so the vows are clear over the water.
The hotel accommodates guests on site, capacity ranges from 100 to 600, and the kitchen has a good reputation. Lorca itself is worth a visit, with one of Spain’s finest collections of baroque architecture.
Coast or Inland: Choosing Your Setting in Murcia
The region splits neatly into two kinds of wedding:
- By the sea (La Manga Club, Collados Beach). Sunset ceremonies, beach days for guests, and summer evenings that stay mild near the water. Good for couples who want a holiday feel around the wedding.
- Inland (Archena, Parque de la Marquesa, Jardines de Amaltea). Palms, gardens, historic buildings and more space. Inland afternoons are hotter in July and August, so ceremonies there work best in late spring and early autumn, or late in the evening.
For guests flying from the UK, Ireland or Northern Europe, Murcia has its own international airport at Corvera, and Alicante Airport is another common option for the north of the region. Before you book, ask each venue whether it hosts one wedding per day, what time the music has to stop and whether guests can stay on site. If you are also comparing the Costa Blanca, see my top 10 Alicante wedding venues or my work as a wedding videographer in Alicante. For the legal side, read getting married in Spain as a foreigner.

If you are reading this, your wedding matters to you, and that matters to me. I am Ismael, a wedding filmmaker based in Murcia, working from the shores of the Mar Menor to the garden estates of Lorca and the Ricote Valley. I know these places as light, texture and sound as well as locations. If you would like to talk about filming your wedding here, tell me your date and venue.
Questions
When is the best time to get married in Murcia?
May, June, September and October give the best balance of warm weather and comfortable temperatures. July and August work for beach venues but need evening ceremonies to avoid the peak heat. Murcia enjoys over 300 sunny days a year.
How far is Murcia airport from the main wedding venues?
Región de Murcia International Airport at Corvera is typically 20 to 50 minutes from the main venues. Collados Beach is the closest at around 20 minutes, and Hotel Jardines de Amaltea near Lorca the furthest at around 50 minutes.
Can international couples get married legally in Murcia?
Yes, but the paperwork depends on your nationality and residency, and non-EU couples usually need additional documents. Many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Murcia; check your case with the civil registry or your consulate.
Which Murcia venue has the most accommodation for guests?
Balneario de Archena has three on-site hotels with 253 rooms, and La Manga Club has 192 rooms and suites. Both let most guests stay where they celebrate.
Is Murcia a good alternative to Marbella or Mallorca for a destination wedding?
For many couples, yes. Murcia offers sea, spa and historic garden venues with its own airport and quieter surroundings, and it is less crowded with weddings than the better-known destinations.
