Ibiza Wedding: The Complete Guide
Venues, real costs, the best season and how to capture it all on film.

An Ibiza wedding usually costs between €20,000 and €50,000, with catering at around €100 to €150 per guest. The main venue types are clifftop hotels, agroturismo fincas, beach clubs and private villas. The season runs from June to September, but May, early June and late September bring softer light and better rates. Book 12 to 18 months ahead.
1. Why get married in Ibiza

Beyond the famous nightlife, Ibiza is an island of quiet coves, old olive groves and golden light. An Ibiza wedding blends that natural beauty with a relaxed, barefoot-luxury feel: pampas grass, flowing linen and long tables under the stars.
It is also flexible. From an intimate clifftop elopement to a multi-day villa celebration, the island adapts to almost any plan. And if you want something even quieter, Formentera is a short ferry ride away, with long white beaches and a slower pace. You can see how I film there on my page as a wedding videographer in Formentera.
2. Ibiza wedding venues

There is an Ibiza wedding venue for every style. These are the main types:
| Venue type | Best for |
|---|---|
| Clifftop hotel | Dramatic sea views and sunsets |
| Agroturismo finca | Rustic-chic, intimate countryside charm |
| Beach club | Relaxed, party-forward celebrations |
| Private villa | Exclusive multi-day luxury weddings |
Venue fees range widely, from around €5,000 for smaller restaurant-style spaces to €80,000 or more for exclusive clifftop hotels.
What to ask every venue before you book:
- Is the venue allowed to host events, and how many guests can it hold?
- Is there a music curfew or a limit on amplified sound outdoors, and until what time?
- Which suppliers are included or required (catering, sound, furniture)?
- Is there an indoor or covered plan B if the weather turns?
- Can guests stay on site, and how will the rest reach it at night?
Private villas in particular vary a lot in what they allow, so get the answers in writing.
3. How much does an Ibiza wedding cost

Here are the real numbers for an Ibiza wedding in 2026:
- €20–50k: typical total for most Ibiza weddings.
- €100–150: catering per guest (multi-course meal plus open bar).
- €120k+: a luxury multi-day villa buyout.
A sunset elopement can cost just a few thousand euros, while a full-production luxury weekend runs much higher. Island weddings also carry a few costs that mainland ones do not: suppliers who travel from the mainland add flights or ferries and accommodation, and transport for guests between hotels and the venue needs planning. For context on the mainland, see my guide on destination weddings in Spain, and for a region-by-region breakdown, my guide on how much a wedding in Spain costs.
4. When to get married in Ibiza

Ibiza’s wedding season runs from June to September, when the weather is reliably warm. Be aware that providers apply seasonal pricing: the same wedding can cost noticeably more in August than in May or late September.
Insider tip: May, early June and late September offer beautiful light, milder temperatures and better rates. They are also easier for guests travelling in, since flights and villas are less stretched.
Whenever you choose, book early. The best villas and suppliers fill up 12 to 18 months ahead.
5. Planning an Ibiza wedding from abroad
Most couples who marry in Ibiza live somewhere else, so a little structure helps:
- Decide the ceremony type first. Like most international couples in Spain, you will probably sign the legal paperwork at home and hold a symbolic ceremony on the island. My guide to getting married in Spain as a foreigner explains the options; confirm your own case with the civil registry or your consulate.
- Choose the venue, then build the team around it. A local planner who knows the island’s suppliers saves a lot of time.
- Think about your guests. Share flight and accommodation advice early, and plan how everyone gets to and from the venue.
- Plan the day around the light. In summer the sun sets late, so a ceremony in the early evening gives soft light and leaves the sunset for portraits.
6. Capturing your Ibiza wedding on film

Few islands reward a wedding film like Ibiza. The light, the sea and the sunsets give every frame depth and colour. Something I have learned filming Mediterranean weddings is that the golden hour before sunset is the best light of the day, and it is worth planning your couple portraits around it.
Ibiza also has its own challenges for a filmmaker. Clifftop ceremonies are often windy, which matters for the sound of your vows, so I plan the audio with that in mind. Villas and fincas often have the ceremony, dinner and party in different spaces, and knowing the layout in advance lets me be in the right place without interrupting anything.
