Wedding Videographer Cost: What You'll Really Pay in 2026
Real price ranges, what each package includes and how to spend wisely, from a wedding filmmaker in Spain.

A wedding videographer in Spain usually costs between €1,200 and €4,500 for filming and editing a full wedding in 2026. In the US the average is around $3,993, about 8% of the total wedding budget. Where you land in that range depends on experience, hours of coverage, the number of operators, what you receive and, for destination weddings, travel.
1. The short answer

Here are the real wedding videographer cost ranges for 2026:
- €1,200–4,500: a full wedding video in Spain (filming plus editing).
- ~$3,993: the US average.
- 8%: the share of the total wedding budget that video usually takes.
In Spain, a complete wedding video typically sits inside that €1,200 to €4,500 range. The spread comes down to experience, hours of coverage, number of operators and what is delivered. A quote at the bottom of the range and one at the top are rarely selling the same thing, which is why the rest of this guide matters more than the headline number.
2. What each package includes

Price tracks what you get. This is the usual ladder of wedding videographer packages:
| Package | Typically includes |
|---|---|
| Basic | 4–6 h, one filmmaker, a highlight film (3–5 min) |
| Full day | Full coverage, two cameras, highlight + longer film |
| Premium | Multi-operator, cinematic edit, extras (drone, same-day edit) |
A highlight film is the emotional 3 to 5 minute trailer of your day. The full film lets you relive it from start to finish, with the ceremony and speeches kept whole. Most couples want both. If you are marrying abroad and comparing bundles from venues or planners, my guide to destination wedding packages explains what to check before you accept the film that comes inside a bundle.
3. What moves the price

Five things move the wedding videographer cost up or down:
- Experience and portfolio quality.
- Hours of coverage and number of operators.
- Deliverables (highlight only vs full film, drone, raw footage).
- Season and date: peak Saturdays cost more.
- Travel for destination weddings.
Be wary of prices that look too low. Good video takes many hours of filming and editing, and if the number does not add up, something is being cut. If you are still deciding who to hire, see my guide on choosing a wedding videographer in Spain.
4. Where the money actually goes
From my side as a filmmaker, the wedding day is only part of the work. A quote pays for three things:
- Before the wedding. Calls with you, reading the timeline, talking to the planner and the photographer, and checking the venue light for the ceremony time.
- On the day. One or more operators, cameras, stabilisers, separate audio recorders for the vows and speeches, and backup cards and batteries.
- After the wedding. Copying and backing up the footage, choosing the moments, building the story, colour grading, cleaning and mixing the sound, choosing music and delivering the films.
The editing is usually the largest share of the time. That is the part you never see, and it is where cheap quotes save time. When you compare two quotes, ask each filmmaker how long the full film will be, how the sound is recorded and when you will receive it.
5. Destination weddings in Spain

For a destination wedding, add travel, accommodation and location scouting to the base rate. The good news is that southern Spain (Murcia, Alicante, Andalusia) offers the same Mediterranean light and strong venues as the pricier hotspots at a noticeably lower cost. If you are looking at the Costa Blanca, you can see how I work as a wedding videographer in Alicante; further south, the same applies to a wedding videographer in Málaga.
Tip: booking a filmmaker who already lives near your venue removes most travel costs. For the full budget picture, see my guide to a wedding in Spain cost.
Plan early and the numbers usually work out reasonably for a Spanish celebration.
6. How to compare quotes fairly
Two quotes only make sense side by side when they describe the same day. Before you decide, make sure each one answers these questions in writing:
- How many hours of coverage, and from which moment to which moment?
- How many operators, and how many cameras during the ceremony?
- How is the ceremony and speech audio recorded?
- How long are the highlight film and the full film?
- Are drone, travel and accommodation included or extra?
- What is the delivery date, and how are the films delivered?
Common mistakes I see: choosing on the trailer alone, cutting coverage before the speeches to save an hour (the speeches are often the part couples rewatch most), and forgetting that a second operator matters when you get ready in different places.
7. How I work

Every wedding I film includes a 3–5 minute highlight film plus a 15–25 minute film of your whole day, real sound from the ceremony and speeches, and a cinematic-documentary style. Coverage and travel change from one wedding to another, so I quote each one for its date and venue.
Rather than fixating on the cheapest quote, look at the filmmaker’s real work and whether their storytelling moves you. That is what you will keep. You can watch my films on my wedding videographer in Spain home page.

If you are weighing up the cost, it is because your wedding matters, and it matters to me too. I am Ismael, a wedding videographer based in Spain (you can read more about me here). Tell me your date and venue and I will walk you through what would be included for your day, with no pressure.
Questions
How much does a wedding videographer cost?
In Spain a full wedding video usually costs between €1,200 and €4,500 (filming plus editing). In the US the average is around $3,993, roughly 8% of the total wedding budget. The final price depends on experience, hours of coverage, number of operators and deliverables.
What is included in a wedding video package?
A basic package is usually 4–6 hours with one filmmaker and a 3–5 minute highlight film. Full-day and premium packages add full coverage, two or more cameras, a longer film and extras like drone footage or a same-day edit.
Why are some wedding videographers so cheap?
Good video takes many hours of filming and skilled editing. Very low prices usually mean fewer hours, a single camera, no proper sound or a rushed edit. Always look at a full film, not just the trailer, before deciding.
How much does a destination wedding videographer cost in Spain?
Add travel, accommodation and scouting to the base rate. Southern Spain (Murcia, Alicante, Andalusia) offers great value, and hiring a filmmaker who already lives near your venue removes most travel costs.
Is a wedding video worth the cost?
For most couples, yes. It is about 8% of the budget but the only thing that brings back the movement, the voices and the emotion of the day. Very few couples regret keeping it; many regret skipping it.
